Michael E. Potter, President & Secretary, is a registered Landscape Architect and a 1970 graduate of Syracuse University with degrees in Fine Arts and Landscape Architecture/Urban Planning emphasis. From 1970 to 1983, Mr. Potter served as Vice President for Wirth Associates in Billings, Montana, where he had extensive experience in planning and design.
In 1983, Mr. Potter established Design Development Group, a planning and architectural partnership doing commercial, residential and resort real estate development in Jackson Hole and elsewhere. Mr. Potter became a general partner of the Teton Pines project in Jackson Hole in 1985. See discussion of Mr. Clinton below for information about Teton Pines and subsequent formation of PC by Messrs. Mr. Potter's expertise includes land use planning, zone change efforts and permitting, project implementation management and property operations and maintenance. At Teton Pines, his responsibilities included these areas, as well as serving as an administrative vice president. Other representative project experiences include:
- Project manager for master planning and site design for the Mountain Village at Chet Huntley's Big Sky Resort.
- Recreational facility planning team member of Sea Pines Plantation Company at Hilton Head, South Carolina and Amelia Island, Florida.
- Design team leader for Asir National Park on the Red Sea Coast of Saudi Arabia.
- Project manager for master planning and implementation of Apache Corporation's executive retreat facility and Paradise Guest Ranch in the Big Horn Mountains near Buffalo, Wyoming.
- Numerous community park and recreation facilities in the intermountain region.
- Numerous private sector housing and commercial projects in the intermountain region.
